The IT infrastructure represents to  
Gruppo Colorobbia a strategic asset supporting the corporate business, a structure that requires constant upgrades and a continuous research intended to optimize the services. All this aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing management costs. Considering that corporate processes are highly computerised and computing tools are getting more and more used at any levels, it is essential to be able to count on qualified and up-to-date personnel. On account of this, the ICT Division relies not only on internal resources of high professional profile, but also avails itself of external collaborations by the time well-established, which can be considered to be a "natural extension" of the Department itself.

The main services offered by the ICT Division can be summarised as follows:

ICT procurement management: the Division assists the companies of the Group in analysing the needs and in selecting data processing equipment. A gained long-standing experience and a network of contacts created over the years allow to select the most appropriate suppliers both from a technical point of view and economically.
Hardware and software support: a Help Desk service is active by an internal call centre. Support is provided by telephone, via remote control software or  by a qualified technician in-situ onsite, when necessary.
Mobile device management: due to an ever increasing popularity of mobile devices the structure has come into line by offering expertise and products for supporting mobile devices: iOs, Android, Blackberry.
Virtualization: management and implementation of virtual environments based on VMWare software.  In 2009 the Division started a virtualization process that has led to have, today, the whole infrastructure in "Private Cloud".  The Division is currently considering to extend the infrastructure into a "Hybrid Cloud".
Software Asset Management: thanks to the experience in software asset management gained over the years, the Division has developed a working model aimed at complying with regulations on intellectual property and copyright. This model enabled us to overcome Audits required in recent years by various software-Vendors.
Mobile Telephony: any aspect related to mobile telephony is dealt with: from the definition of contracts with various carriers to the constant search for solutions to reduce costs. A dedicated technician will support the users, choosing with them the devices (iOS, Blackberry and Android), identifying the most suitable services according to the business needs of each subject and providing Help Desk support on specific issues. The Division also performs a periodic check on the correctness of invoices sent by the various carriers.
Fixed Telephony: as for the Mobile Phone, the Division is responsible for relations with the carriers, manages internal equipment (telephone exchanges and equipment), performs Help Desk services and monitors the invoices.
Networking e cabling: planning and maintenance of the computer networks (LAN, WAN, WIFI) of the Gruppo Colorobbia.
Printer rationalisation: in recent years the ICT Division has put projects in place for print cost rationalization in the companies of the Group and now almost all printing systems are "pay-per- use". The Division is in charge of the management of the Help Desk acting as an interface between external suppliers and end users.
Web: as to the web,  the ICT Division is committed to register and maintain the domains and hosting. The Division also performs the upgrade of the corporate websites, made on CMS platforms, of the companies belonging to the Gruppo Colorobbia. The Division designs, develops and maintains the corporate intranet based on Microsoft SharePoint platform.

The Division provides systems management also for the following systems:

  • Messaging service: MS Exchange, Zimbra, Barracuda (Anti-spamming), Blackberry Entrprise Server

  • Database: MS SQL Server

  • Symantec Endpoint Protection

  • Server Based: MS Terminal Server

  • Backup: Symantec Backup Exec
